Abraham Penn Community Award

Abe

In 1919 Abraham Penn founded Puritan Clothing Co, with two key principles in mind, service to the customer, and service to the community. Abe instilled these principles in his two sons, Milton and Howard Penn, and they in turn passed them on to the third generation, Richard and Jim. All four are active in the community on Cape cod today. Even though the company has moved forward in many ways, these principles are as strong today as they were 90 years ago.

To recognize local business people, who best exemplify these principles of service to the customer and service to the community, Puritan Cape Cod established the annual Abraham Penn Community Award.

Each Chamber of Commerce can nominate on individual. Puritan Cape cod will select the Abraham Penn Community Award winner from the applications that are received.

A presentation will take place annually, and the area Chamber that nominated the award winner will receive a $1,000 grant given in the recipient's name.
